I was in the browsing mode today. Yeahhhh!! TGIF and can’t wait for the day to be over..

Despicable Me..not!

Weekend is over (again)..buhuhuhuhu! Teary eyes.. But me & my son had a marathon weekend for movies, cartoons (Tom & Jerry) & reality shows! Muahahahahahahahaha!!

First, we watched Despicable Me..oh hell it was hilarious! Especially the minions – errmm.. you know the small small specky moving around thingy..which are also super genius! And Agnes, the cheek-tapping expert, which Gru – the #2 super villain & super thief, thought is very annoying. Now, what’s annoying is my son keeps tapping his cheeks even during meal time!! Uhmmm..never mind.

Voices lent by Steve Carell as Gru, Julie Andrews as Gru’s mom and Russel Brand as Dr. Nefario,  Gru’s gadget man.  Gru, is a very wicked man, who has no conscience over being nice. He uses his gadgets to just for everything – even getting to the frontline for a cup of coffee. He is just super wicked! However, along with his scheme to steal the moon (which his faithful minions are so in awe of his plan), he is also challenged to his last wits by the 3 adopted girls – to become a super dad. Frankly, this is a nice family movie, and how someone so wicked finally touched by love of the young ones...awwwww…sweet.

Look out for his gadgets too – the freeze gun, the fart gun (yeah..fart as the stinky wind from you know where) and the shrinking ray gun. Just watch how he turned the elephant into a tiny creature – tinier than a banana!

The second movie – Eclipe. Enough said.. I am not left behind anymore. I can speak the Eclipse language now..yezzzzzzzzaaaa..!

The another marathon is the Kimora : Life  In the Fab Lane. To see how Kimora & her children live the fabulous life. She is very real & true – nothing fake like Jerseylicious (the  pathetic catfights .. duhhh!!). She is just so open and frank about her life. Much to her wealth, she contributes back to the society too. It’s not about enjoying for just herself. Good..a kind of example from the rich & famous that we should follow. It’s kind of enlightening too.  It’s a rally from 3.00 pm Saturday until about 7.00 pm.

Then, my eyes were dead tired..........ZZZZzzzzzZzzzzzzzzZ…

Last night was House & I broke my Bonia spectacles today!

Every weekday nights except Friday, is my slot for TV. Rather  than fighting over the remote control with either hubby or my boy, I made it clear to them that 10 pm onwards is my slot and there would be no way they can beg or plead to watch another channel. My favourite is AXN – Channel 701 at Astro.

Let me see, the 10pms are CSI:NY on Monday, NCIS:LA on Tuesday, CSI:Vegas (or the original Crime Scene Investigation) on Wednesday and House on Thursday. The first three are investigative / action series. But House serves differently.  It’s a medical drama and unexpectedly fun!

It’s not ER, it’s House. Twirls around the working life of Dr Gregory House (brilliantly played by Hugh Laurie), known for his sarcasm, but holds brain of a genius diagnosis specialist. Addicted to Vicodin due to his leg pain, which may also add up spices to his colourful spats to his patients & diagnosticians team.

A little example of his blunt and “sophisticated” openings –

"Hello, sick people and their loved ones! In the interest of saving time and avoiding a lot of boring chitchat later, I'm Doctor Gregory House; you can call me "Greg." I'm one of three doctors staffing this clinic this morning. This ray of sunshine is Doctor Lisa Cuddy. Doctor Cuddy runs this whole hospital, so unfortunately she's much too busy to deal with you. I am a Board certified diagnostician with a double specialty in infectious  disease and nephrology. I am also the only doctor currently employed at this clinic who is forced to be here against his will. That is true, isn't it? But not to worry, because for most of you, this job could be done by a monkey with a bottle of Motrin. Speaking of which, if you're particularly annoying, you may see me reach for this: this is Vicodin. It's mine. You can't have any. And no, I do not have a pain management problem, I have a pain problem. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm too stoned to tell. So, who wants me? And who would rather wait for one of the other two guys? Okay. Well, I'll be in Exam Room One if you change your mind."

Phewwwww..so much for an introduction. If, I mean, if this is ever happening in real life, I would just grab my bag and run. It’s like real running for my life! However, in a way, if I were terribly sick, I prefer a doctor who would tell me the truth, even though it hurts, rather than the one who would describe the situation as if you are gonna be okay in a jiffy.  Hmmm…

Whatever it is, his wits and sarcasm are really an “educated” one. At every turn, it gives you an interesting plots.  Okay – last night he joked about open marriage and Taub’s marital problems. And what interesting is, they just don’t care. They intertwined the conversation with their diagnosis & the personal issues. Not even dominantly distracted by any of the topic except their patient’s problem.

Okay, House is one of my fav doctor, second to Carlisle Cullen.:)
Alright, this morning, at the office, the left leg of my Bonia transitions spectacles limped off. And I was half-blind for half an hour. I scurried down to the small convenience store to buy the elephant glue. With little patience & tech knowledge, I managed to put it on again but it will never be the same. It’s not the right fit anymore. My my…this is my favourite spec and it has been with me for a year plus. What make it extra special is the transition glass, which burst my pocket when I decided to have it. It’s not an easy decision ; I gave it a thought for 2 nights and later decided to give it a go.  Yes, this is my first Bonia frame and my first transition lense. **Sigh** Now I have to buy a new one…

The Quileute vs The Cullens

The vampire season is in again. Eclipse..one of the Twilight sequel is now showing and a hit in cinemas..again. I fell in love with Twilight last year. Oh I know..it’s a bit too late. Reason – I was too tied up with work and I didn’t go for a movie for the longest time I can remember. So, I borrowed a DVD from a friend, who is totally head over heels with Edward Cullen and singing praises for him until now. She went to watch Eclipse the very day it was released..and took a half day leave for the sake of queuing up to buy the ticket.  I am yet to watch it as work took over the realm of reality in my life now.. Sighhh..

In the first Twilight, I was kind of like Carlisle Cullen more than Edward. Carlisle is a Celtic name meaning "strong". A true portrait of his name, Carlisle seems very calm and mature, reasonable, with incredible compassion and has a high level of self-control. I am sure it is because he has been a “vegetarian vampy” for quite some time that he has such willpower to blend in with human.  The perfection of beauty, some said it. Peter Facinelli carried off the character very well, and I don’t think someone could have done it better.  He is my favorite doctor.. wakakakakaka.. :D

Another character who made me googoogaagaa is The Quileute Wolf - Jacob Black. I still remember Taylor Lautner as the Sharkboy. He was just as awesome! And that smile..melted many hearts! And he is so media-friendly too..And he is so charming ..And he is so …everything!! He is just gorgeous. He didn’t capture that much attention during long-haired Jacob, compared to the new Jacob in New Moon. I guess some hair cuttings did him good and noticeable. He is even more noticeable in Eclipse, or shall I say exudes even more sexiness compared to Twilight & New Moon? Drool…. And, if I ever go watch Eclipse in these few days, I will watch out for this line from Jacob to Edward - Let’s face it, I am hotter than you. Can’t wait can’t wait!!

Edward, on the other hand, seems to be overpowered by Jacob’s presence. But still, his mysterious attitude will make you curious of wanting “what could be next?”. I don’t know.. but I look forward to Jacob rather than Edward.

Watching the gazette alone is already got the adrenaline pumping. I am sure the pack war would add be an extra excitement in this sequel. I really don’t know. I really gotta watch this Eclipse! Or else, I am so left behind…!

I was conned by the salesman!

Yezzzzzzz...I was conned by the darn salesman. I bought the Compaq (Compaq Presario CQ40) like a year ago. So, what makes me damn angry today is, he lied saying that (yeah..the lie was a year ago but only discovered today!) he has upgraded my RAM to 3GB. Which in actual fact only upgraded to another 1GB making it 2GB. If my lappy didn't misbehaved, then I would not even know that this is happening. Chehh..I cursed him so that his lappy or whatever will go konk!

And I have another problem which may cost me a bomb if I decided to give it a repair. My LCD screen is flickering every 10 or 15 seconds. My technician friend thought I sat on it, as only heavy impact can cause the LCD to somehow go crazy. Yeah, my lappy has been reformatted, I just hope he backed up my hard drive datas...ooohhh myyy...

I am counting my cost - to replace 1GB RAM - RM80, or 2GB @ RM170... hmmmm...The LCD - might as well buy a new laptop. Oh heck..I can just live with it for a while I guess. Anyway, it's for home use.

I am still cursing though..and ready to make a killing. But I'll pass. I deserve more than spending my intelligence on such sorries.

So, lesson learnt for the day - Don't ever believe what you don't see. Make sure you double check.

Beads & Sequins frenzies!

I have always fancy glitzies & blinkies..I mean beads & sequins. What I yet to know, is how deep is my passion for it. I know I am almost crazy looking at the intricate designs & that skills the beaders has. Mind you, they even have a beader fan club..awesome!!

I am actually tied up with work. So, this post is an intro of what I am going to dedicate a page in this blog to beads & sequins. Maybe, if time permits, I would share the tips and tricks. Just enjoy looking at the design first and appreciate the crafts. It is always nice to have something shimmering on you!

This is no ordinary week!

TGIF was over and the common cycle of the week started again..on Monday! The joykiller and the start of everyday torture until you say it again..TGIF!!

Well, why I said this week is no ordinary week ?

It started off with helluva news which crushed my heart deep inside. Darn, it really gets into me and dragged me in my own emotional turmoil for no reason. Oh, the news..yeah.. I was honoured to working with someone that I almost hate. Hate - such a strong word, ain't it? Well, it is because the emotions was so strong indeed. I guess it is mutual from both parties.

Days passed and I was full of hypocrisy. And seriously I was like I was ready to make a killing.

Someone advised me that do whatever you can, from where you are. Hummm...such a realistic advise as the truth reveals that nothing much you can do. If you wish to go against it, then be prepared for whatever that are coming that called "consequences". Actually, I know I am wise enough to follow the advise as it is.

How being a hypocrite at a workplace really left a bitter taste in your mouth. And please bear in mind that the other party also acted their part very well. In the name of teamwork! Gosh, how I was such a good actress and could land an Oscar for it. Duhhh!

Anyway, the closing of the week (TGIF!!) at least brought me some superb news. I will be "detached" from my so-called unfavorable task in 2 months time. I guess I could wait that long, provided I steered away from any heartaches. At least, the week was not that bad at all.

My reception towards all the happenings in the week made me realize as how vulnerable we are to changes. Even though we do not wish to change, we are forced to do one. I made a mental note from that infamous blog somewhere, where someone said "Evolve or else extinct". True..very true.

I just hope my not-so-ordinary week would not drag to weekends. Or else I would be in the foul mood again, and at home I prefer not to. Remember, examples are set at home.

11.39 now and I need to do some socializing.
